Create Your Persona
Welcome. Now that you've built your Agent, it's time to give it thoughts, emotions, and methods.
In HolmesAI, the Persona is the soul and brain behind your Agent.
Think of it as the Agent's personality manual, knowledge base, and tone-of-voice library. The Agent is just a vessel, and the Persona determines how it thinks, speaks, and what it can do.
This guide will walk you through each section of the My Persona interface to help you craft a soul for your AI teammate.
Introduction：Why Create a Persona?

HolmesAI lets you create multiple Personas. Each can be assigned to different Agents, enabling you to run varied operations and styles with precision.
Step1：Enter the Persona Creation Interface
Click [Persona] in the upper sidebar, You’ll now see two main sections:

What is Persona Market?
Persona Market is HolmesAI’s shared library of official and user-created Persona templates. You can:
Browse other users' Personas
One-click apply them to your own Agent
Use them as creative references or rewrite them as your own
In short: it's a public soul bazaar, free to explore, remix, and use.

How to Use Persona Market:
1. Click Persona Market in the top nav
2. Browse the list and check each Persona's:
Name
Description
3. Found something interesting? Click Collect on the right → It will be copied into your My Persona tab, where you can edit or assign it to any Agent
From Fan to Creator: Publish Your Persona
You’ll soon be able to upload your custom Persona to the Market for others to use (coming soon). Imagine your soul template being used by thousands of creators, a founding spark of the AI hive-mind. Cool, right?
Step3：Create Your Own Persona
In the My Persona section, you can build custom identities from scratch.
There are two ways to enter:
On the main Persona page, click [Create Persona]
if you haven't created a persona before, scroll down next to Persona Market and click Create Now under "My Persona"
Let’s walk through each field from top to bottom, with explanations and tips.
1. Persona Name Give your Persona a name. Tip: A simple format like [Role] + [Tag] makes it easier to organize. One Agent can have multiple Personas, and one Persona can be reused across different Agents.
2. Description Write a short introduction for your Persona — what it does, its expertise, and its tone. Think of it as a quick “who I am” card to help others understand your Persona at a glance.
3. Category Pick the category that best matches your Persona’s main field or specialty. Example categories:
Digital Assets
Blockchain
Artificial Intelligence
Entertainment
4. Niche Select one or more tags to narrow your Persona’s focus within the chosen category. Example tags for “Digital Assets”: #Bitcoin, #Ethereum, #Solana, #Stablecoins, #NFTs, #ETFs, etc.
5. Tone Tone shapes the mood and personality of your Persona’s responses — its energy, sentence flow, and emotional vibe. Pick from tags like:
Witty, +Chatty, +Encouraging, +Poetic, +Cynical, +Friendly, +Concise, +Empathetic Tip: Choose 3–5 tone tags for a clear and consistent style.
6. Level Set the knowledge depth for your Persona in this field:
Entry Level – Beginner-friendly explanations
Intermediate – Balanced detail for informed users
Expert – Advanced, in-depth insights
7. Content Source Give your Persona a custom knowledge base by:
Adding URLs
Uploading files (PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD) via drag-and-drop or click-to-upload
The system will learn from this material to enrich your Persona’s responses. Tip: High-quality, up-to-date sources improve performance.
Final Step: Hit [Create] — Persona Complete!
You now have a fully built Persona. Assign it to your Agent when creating, or build multiple Personas to match different Agent vibes.
